Useful items for in a coastal survival situation

This course we have developed for those who wish to gain a full and comprehensive background in coastal foraging for foods and there medicinal uses, and for the intention of teaching it as a subject, or to aid content to existing courses.This is a fully practical course. The course will cover in depth the many aspects that are needed to responsible source and identify coastal wild foods and will include seafood, sea plants and shore plants. There preparation and cookery will be covered as will any medical benefits the plants found may have. The days will each cover different subject matters, that collectively combine into a full and informative practical course. The different subjects will each be demonstrated by experts in their field (or beach) as the case may be! Previously we had two established bushcraft and survival instructors from different school attend and both felt they learnt a great deal and left richer for the experience (testimonials by request)

Day 1

Marine Biology for the forager - coastal safety and tides - intertidal range of seafood and plants - basic preparation and cookery.

Day 2

Correct identification or shore foods available including woodland and hedgerow and there uses - basic preparation, cookery and uses along with the many medicinal uses.

Along with a certificate of achievement, you will be presented with a video diary of your days to recall on all the information covered on the course.

Individual bookings £225 - 2 Day course - over night camping and food supplied. Minimum of 4, maximum of 6 places with four instructors over the course (2 per day)

Notes:

All the standard equipment you require for this course is supplied at no extra cost. This includes a knife. (Recent travel restriction may prohibit the carrying of sharp objects)

All you need bring is your self sensible dressed for the season and a spare change of cloths and towel in a sealed waterproof bag. A full set of water proofs. Foot wear should be waterproof,light and easily removable.
